is a collection of people dedicated to the one end
eg. The medical staff of all ranks are dedicated,
to the healing and well being of their patient
They work together as a team

A group
is also a collection of people, who have similar interests.
who can join or leave , the group as they wish
eg;
Yahoo groups ,
cookery, mathematics , science . answers , poetry, humor , etc.

team is in sports and group is outside of sports. group is more informal, like a social group or whatnot
