A quick Google search suggested something called 'Locteron' but I'm not 100% sure about this.

Yes I have. My son is just starting the treatment for Hep C. The two drugs he will be taking are Ribavarin which is a pill to be taken twice a day and the other is a shot called Interferon to be given once a week. His treatment will be for 48 weeks and hopefully he will have a good chance of stopping the virus that is attacking his liver. This is a long term treatment and has to be monitored monthly by lab tests and at the end of the year we will know if the treatment has been successful. He has a one in four chance of it working. There are many side affects but is worth the risks if it works. It is better than dying.
You may want to talk to your Dr about this treatment if you have this illness. It would be worth trying, otherwise there is no other treatment that I know of, but I am not a Dr.
Good Luck.

NEW YORK — Achillion Pharmaceuticals Inc. shares lost more than half their value Friday, after the company and its partner Gilead Sciences Inc. decided to abandon their hepatitis C drug.

Gilead and Achillion said Thursday preliminary trial results of the drug had shown an increase in the level of serum creatinine, which indicates abnormal kidney function.

There is an all natural supplement called NutriFeron which boosts the body's production of interferon and has been beneficial to many people. It's a clinically proven blend of immune-strengthening plant extracts. It strengthens immune response by boosting the body's natural interferon and has no side effects.

Dr. Kojima, the immunologist who discovered interferon in 1954, spent 40 years searching for a natural interferon booster - the result was NutriFeron. The formula is proven by published human clinical studies.

Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me with questions.
