When I open it in IE, it displays a table (from the XSL page), and fills it up with data from the XML page. However, when I use Firefox, this does not work. Help!?!

firefox does it in a slightly more standard manner... but there is still no standard.

since your page is basically empty and all your data comes from a file...
consider just serving up data.xml with an xsl header to tell the browsers how to format it!

ActiveXObject is Microsoft-specific, so of course it only works in IE. Look here for more information:
