Your Explorer is probably just sluggish from the cookies. Go to Tools on your menu bar, internet options, when you get there you will a button that saids delete cookies, press that and also Delete Internet files. That should give it a little extra speed. For even better, Defrag your computer by goin to Start, Accessories, System Tools, and Defrag. Cleaning your disk might help to....>>be sure to read the details<< they are different for every computer. If all of this fails, make sure your getting enough connection speed.

I concur...FIREFOX!!! http://www.mozilla.com
It complies with the w3 standards. I'm a web master and when I design web pages I code them for Firefox using XHTML "standards". I only "truly" used IE for about a year (this was years ago), it's just like all other Microsoft products....*fill in the blanks*. While you're at it, you might as well get rid if Windows and upgrade to something more stable, Linux!!! haha

Next...GET RID OF McAfee...it's has very poor anti-virus and it uses up alot of your computer's resources. If you want something good, try AVG Anti-spyware and AVG Anti-Virus! They are both free, I recommend you set a schedule to run them at night when u are not on the computer though!

Anti-Virus is the first link and Anti-Spyware is the second last.

Don't worry about having a lot of "extra stuff" on your computer unless it's running...then you might want to do a little "clean up". I've have hundreds upon hundreds of applications on my computer...as long as they weren't running, my computer was fine!

Run Internet Explorer with no add-ons installed
Start – All Programs –Accessories –Systems Tools – Click on “Run Internet Explorer (no add-ons)” If IE runs ok you have one or more bad add-ons.

In IE tools – Programs – Click on “Manage Add-ons”. Disable all add-ons then restart. Enable one add-on and restart. If ok enable another ad-on. Repeat until you find the add-on(s) that are causing the problem.

I have had problems with the following add-ons and have disabled the following:

YahooBridge Class Fog Creek Software YahooBridgeLib.dll
WXcom Class Yahoo! Inc. yupdctr.exe
Yahoo Services Yahoo! Inc. yiesrvc.dll
Yahoo IE Services Button Yahoo! Inc. yiesrvc.dll
Windows Live installer???? (install with windows live toolbar)

YahooBridge Class + WXcom Class
I enable these two add-ons only when I run “Download ATT Yahoo Software” at http://att.software.yahoo.com/ysftc/p/att/v2/welcome

I also found the Windows Live Toolbar slowed my Internet Explorer.

If this does not work, uninstall IE7 with Ad/Remove programs. This will take you back to IE6.
Run Windows Live OneCare “Full Service Scan” http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm
Reboot.
Reinstall IE7
