No, you aren't too old for college (as if!). So you took 2 years off - there are people there pursuing their Master's and PhD's that will be there a lot longer than you. Why? I'd assume it is because they like learning.
Lots of people take some time off of their education to do some living, go to Europe, get their heads on straight, etc. The important thing is that you are there now, and will get a degree, if you don't talk yourself out of it. If you feel bad for wasting 2 years of your life, think how much worse it would be to actually quit a program that you'd like to do. That person you mentioned is ahead of you by two years at this point, don't make it 2 years PLUS a degree that you'll never get if you quit.
Don't quit on yourself.

No. You are never too old for college. You will meet people in their 40's and older in your classes. You will still be 25 years old in 2012. Why not be 25 with a college education?
By the way, my pediatrician went to med. school when he was 35. He says it's the smartest thing he ever did.

I'm 23 and still in school, and expect to be 26 when I graduate. I think it's better to be 'more mature' when you enter the workforce, and you'll also have that nice shiny degree to bring along with you! Even if you decide to drop out you can always go back in a few years when you're ready for more school.

What kind of thinking it is?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whenever u start is better than never starting! the important case is that a 25 year old graduated boy is better than a 25 year old not graduated one. so continue and fight to do the best u can. then u will see studying is better tan sitting at home and just be sorry for what u didn,t do in past.

Twenty years old and too old for college?!? I think the better question is are you too stupid for college? The typical college student is between 18 and 22 years old. How exactly do you not fit in that demographic? You're an idiot.

when I was a freshman in college I shared my dormitory hall with a guy who was a 21 year old freshman - he was a great guy. You are hardly too old - stop making excuses and go do it.
Good Luck!!!
