I don't know about desperate and needy...Maybe to that guy she is the most beautiful woman he ever saw! In his eyes she is everything that man needs. Everyone is different. You know when a man says to his wife,"You are the best wife in the world"! To that man she is! This is the same thing.

I've had guys say that to me and I guess it's better than some pickup lines.It's flattering if you know the guy isn't a big flirt and just says it to everyone.

well if it sounds too desperate make a long pause and then say well besides (a celebrity who you think is hot)...it will balance it out
