I have doubts Juve. The sorts of people that engage in this behavior are thugs before they are fans. They would probably have the propensity to be like this in all areas of life not just at a football match. We here , all of us, are patriotic and proud but I don't think there is hardly one of us on this forum that values life with such disregard nor has this disrespect for the game itself. Our sport will suffer and it's reputation will be in ruins if all this continues. People say it's part and parcel of the game. It isn't. A persons life is not a competition. FIFA need to step in now and if sanctions need to be incurred, so be it. Sad for the true fans, teams and players, but unless these people are are taken out of the picture, innocent lives will be lost and at the least harmed. They do it because in the end they know nothing will change. Even after the drama of last week, clubs are whinging about the Italian Governments attempts to help and fighting them because they are losing revenue. How can you change the mentality of the fan when the leaders of the sport can't do the same.

It will only stop when people realise that it is after all only a game.

Fans hurt in Brazil pales into insignificance when compared to the policeman killed by a football-fan-propelled crude explosive recently in Italy.

The great Bill Shankly once said that Soccer was more than a matter of life and death - how wrong he was!

No. Anytime two teams and there fans get together, there is going to be a risk of violence, because of either sore losers, bad reffing, somethign like that. It will never stop.

no, unfortunetly not, in fact, because of the incidents happening, my dad doesnt want to take me to see a euro or world cup match, because some fans get very nationalistic bout their countries.
