Do you find it odd that we can "hear" ourselves talk when we think?

Question

You know when your thinking about something and you can hear your own voice in your mind? Is this proof that the soul exists? Best answer gets the 10 points and a blunt i just rolled up.

If we didn't hear ourselves think I think it would be safe to say that we're probably dead. Also, if we didn't hear ourselves think, then it would stand to reason that we do not have a soul. When we're in a coma, we do not hear ourselves think until we regain consciousness again. And If your in a coma for say, 3 months and come out of it. It will only seem like a few seconds had passed rather than the 3 months. So, you will have 3 months of your life unnaccounted for. This I know because I've been in a coma. It seemed like only seconds but in fact it was 2 days. All the time I had no thoughts, I did not think. So, I'm still unsure about our souls, I've run into so many condradictions. We'll only find out the truth when we die, but we can never come back to tell anyone. It's a one way trip. You will know but we will not until we too expire. One of the greatest myteries of our existence. Scientists love to explore this. The religious just base it on their faith. They believe without delay and feel that they should not question God's word. What God says goes. Me, I'm still uncertain. I would like to think I have a soul. That there is something better after all this.

No, not odd, just another one of life's little mysteries. Just like how we can go all the way back to the age of 4 or 5 and sometimes even younger and recall certain events but not all. Just certain things we can remember and will always remember but everything else is a blur. I often wondered why can't we remember everything and not just somethings. And like looking at yourself in the mirror. Have you ever wondered if other's see us as we see ourselves. What about deaf people when they think? Or mute people when they think? mmmmmmmmmmm!!!

Its happens to me all the time. I think its really a proof that soul exist. If we only believe in those things then it will be possible. Its just a matter of believing

What is weird to me is that sometimes when I hear that voice I think I really said it, it's really hard to explain. Say your like in a room with people and you're thinking bout something so hard and you thought you really said something and you're looking for a response and if you thought someones heard. I hope that made sense. My mind is so warped anyways.

What you actually hear is your Ego...Person wich is most people identify with...When in reality when you meditate like I do, you come to realize that you actually are counciousness...The soul you talk about is actually part of this counciousness which is the Universe.

I don't hear anything, but I sense the thought. consciousness is a three way street. Thought, memory, and instinct. they all combine to give us that alive feeling. the question is what do you hear before the thought come to you?

ya sometimes it gets annoying though. i might sound weird but it gives me advice. i can hear it right now. and when i read something i can always hear it.i dont think it means "soul exists".

I don't find that weird at all. I find it fantastic! I love learning about the human body and how it works. That's just one of the many things we do.
