How old is your friend? If you can't find the books he has always wanted in singapore, you can look for some online. It will make his day if you get them for him.

well ur friend seems very sporty, so you could gift him some gaming machinery. For instance a 'need for speed' cd or may be any other cd that deals with cars and bikes. you could also gift him a t-shirt or something with a cool bike printed on it!

hmm... i would get him a couple movies that you knoo he likes, and like a toy lamborghini, make it a funny kind of thing and say something like i got you your dream car or somehing cute and funny like that
