I need help on homework.
How do you round to the nearest 1/4 and 1/8.
Please help due on february 12 HELP!!!!!

use a visual diagram. if you had 2/5, then if u were rounding to fourths, use a long strip of paper and cut it evenly into fourths, and another in fifths. then compare. soon, you will be able to do it really quickly. hope that helps!

what answers do u have? and does it have to be in a fraction form or decimal

rounding for the nearest 1/4 would be rounding in the decimal form to either .25, .50, .75, or 1.00, plus the rest of the answer because they are all decimal forms for 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4

the same would be true for the 1/8

but if u need it in the fraction form multiply the number by 8/8 or 4/4 which would give u a number over 8 or 4 consecutatively and then round the top number in the new fraction to the nearest whole number....

if its already in a fraction then you would have to multiply or divide the fraction top and bottom by the number that would make the bottom number a 4 or 8

well 1/4 is 2x 1/8 so the answer is 2. if i saw the whole problem i might be more help.
