I own a courier firm and earn a good living from it.I pay my drivers well,my taxes on time,my suppliers on time and never screw customers on prices when they are stuck.
However HM Customs and excise check my books regularly to make sure I'm paying all my taxes, the bank charge me for every transaction in my accounts, the fuel card company takes double from my account on a regular basis,my insurance goes up every year even though i am yet to make a claim and my competitors try to steal my customers by undercutting me.
Maybe lying, cheating and stealing would be better than being honest,it is said that when your legit you have to work twice as hard than when your not.

Well I'd say yes it is possible - if you want to get robbed blind. My parents both work - they both get 40% of their wages deducted in tax - nearly half! And that's not even thinking about road tax, council tax etc. It makes me sick that they should work their socks off and get that much removed and see little in return for it. In addition, my Dad developes property on the side and his tax bill for that last year was £30,000! I know that the tax is to fund those that can't do it alone, and my parents get 'free' medical care and the rest but it still doesn't seem fair when as a consequence of this tax they seem constantly hard-up! My Dad would say plain out that he doesn't see why he's worked hard his whole life getting himself into an established position and do silly hours for years now only to have half of his earnings removed to fund other people that he thinks don't deserve it. I'm not so sure about this myself - I think spreading the wealth a bit is a good thing - but not this much! There should be some other way of assessing how much poeple should have to pay - perhaps examining their outgoings and seeing how much they can afford to give. I don't know, think I might have lost the plot now...

i think this government are trying to squeeze us dry while they get payed ridicolous amounts of money for doing so.
we are taxed on everything thaty we have, our homes (council tax) our wage, our cars, our bills.
i refuse to have a bank account as when i did have an account (will not mention which bank ) they added on such huge charges ( im some cases for no reason, once was told that had direct debit going out in 3 days so charged me early for this ), so now refuse to have a bank account.
the country is falling deeper into debt whilst the rich and the politicians are getting richer.
Not only that they are passing more and more laws, so that our lives are being restricted even further.
Tony Blair is forever calling himself a democrat, but New Labour are fast becoming a dictatorship.
We voted them in and now we are paying the price, literally!!!!!

Im unsure whether at this element you are able to declare political asylum. perhaps in case you have dependants born here (toddlers) by using a ecu/uk citizen then they permit you reside. i think very sorry for you as you have enhance into acustom to this spectacular usa yet now that's in all probability which you will could bypass back. I dont see why you have left this so previous due, you're able to hand your self in quickly, or you will enhance into much greater accustom to the united kingdom and once you do get caught it incredibly is going to likely be even worse for you.

A purely honest living can only be as a result of someone elses dishonesty! You have to become the victim of others.
You are right. Lying is such a normal part of life that no one is surprised at it. Companies openly abuse their customers, corporate theft is permitted unless you get caught...and politicians spout lies with impunity. They represent no one but themselves and use their influence to abuse those who elect them. They are immoral and entirely without virtue.

Right now I can’t keep my head above water and promises are as empty as ever. I to ask the same question: are we not forced to do things we don’t want to do and the answer is yes.
We have to have 3 jobs just to get the bank to take our money then they steel our lives by giving us everything we don’t need in life like “useless insurance” thanks to this system we can’t save up and better our education and it is impossible to keep any car running if you have no money!

I think that soon there will be a civil war. People won't put up with having to be taxed for their income, movement and family deaths for much longer. Unless they're retarded which seems to be the case so far.

Blair has set a fine example - engendering a culture of deceit - I think this has affected how people think they can behave generally.
Honesty is the best policy ? - you'd have to be mad to believe that now.
