Stay away from the 'How to Draw Manga' books, for the love of God - they're just awful, and they encourage kids to draw pretty poorly. The drawings in them aren't all that good, and they're encouraging some pretty wonky foundation.

Now that that little personal opinion rant is out of the way, I'll tell you what books I /do/ endorse: the 'How to draw anime and game characters' series. Those are fabulous, and you can find them on Amazon. The first book is about generic character types and basics, the second book is about facial expressions and showing emotion through the whole body, third is simple movements and daily life poses, fourth is action poses, fifth is costuming and making character 'types.

You can also find tutorials on http://deviantart.com! Good luck.

If you want to draw amazing anime learn to draw first! I'm in animation school and I know a number of people who learned to draw by copying anime, or learning to draw in an anime style and they are suffering for it now!
Go to sites like Conceptart.com or http://www.tsofa.com/forum/index.php Learn life drawing and anatomy and proportion. once you can get more confident with the human figure in general then start trying to incorporate manga into your style. I promise promise promise you will draw a million times better if you learn the basics before you draw manga.
