Not likely. Existing words have been scrutinized over and over; new words are researched with the help of industry consultants and a team of dictionary editors. If you find and error in any definition, tell the world!

Yes. Dictionaries are compiled by Humans. Humans make mistakes. If you think you've found a misspelled word double-check you are correct and make sure you are using a version appropriate to your country (example: US English spelling is sometimes different from UK English spelling) before you report it to the Publishers.

This is possible because the pages would have to be edited before printing. People are only human and are bound to make errors.

It happens occasionally, but since they are dictionaries they're proofread pretty carefully.
