My knees, my hips, my ankles and my lower back hurt worse and worse. Then one day about a week ago my hamstring went out. I couldn't run another mile. As a result I switched to the stationary bike. I'm now riding 22 miles every morning which takes approximately 62 minutes. Is this going to sufficiently replace my run? Of course, I take a multi vitamin and supplements daily and I lift weights every other day and since I'm not currently running, I also restricted my diet quite a bit. Like I asked before, considering all of this and that I was only running to stay fit and not compete, will this suffice?

Very well, indeed...This will suffice..(better than most)

Hamstring?...Ouch! 6/8 weeks to heal (on average)

That constant "pounding" is rough on these areas.
Did you eat/exercise/sleep correctly as a child?....This may be what's taken a toll on you at the present.

Wow... congrats on loosing all that weight... but sheesh... I could and never would run like that... when I used to run in gym class my shins would hurt REALLY bad... and I went to the docters and I had shinsplints... also, I was running two miles a day... so that took a toll on me and my gym teacher was pissed at me... but oh well, screw her.
