why do they hate it when people are ignorant towards them?

it all depends on the context of that term 'ignorance is bliss' and how one interprets it- for me personally, i dislike that phrase because i don't see ignorance as bliss- far from from it, it isn't. yes good ignorance is something like if he/she isn't aware of something and by doing so it doesn't offend others; whilst bad ignorance is harmful, leads to conflict and violence. generally, people hate it when people are ignorant towards them because with ignorance it cannot be tolerated and condoned in society

This saying was devised because it was thought that if people didn't know something bad said about them, or something bad in general, then it it would be better not to know - bliss. And bliss the state to find yourself in because you didn't know the bad thing in the first place! Hence the saying.....

To me close-mindedness is ignorance and it sure is not bliss,but a brain that is stagnant and frozen and needs an over haul

When a thick ,knuckle dragging fool sais something stupid thats them being a pain in the ****.
