Research, study and I take reading breaks. Last time, I skimmed a book on Obama.

I usually make a special trip or two for the kids.

We sometimes get CDs, but usually just get books, ocassionally DVDs, Videos or Tapes. We check up on community happenings through listings and papers there.

Never use the internet. If we need access, we take a laptop.

And each time I go I always make it a point to photocopy at least one new recipe. It's always the highlight of my trip!

I work in one - I'm a local studies librarian.

If I'm in a library and not working - I will most often be found browsing the craft books, especially ones about jewellery making.

I've occasionally used Internet/word processing facilities when I've been away from home or urgently needed to do something that couldn't wait till I got home. (I once spent a little time in the library in Whitby checking our E-Bay auctions when we were on holiday there - sad or what?)

I even - when on holiday in Florida - went into the library in Key Largo to check out their business information. (I was a business information librarian at the time.) That's even sadder...

I scoot around in the aisles on my knees looking for good books, and I might flip through a few pages to see if it's any good - I put plenty back, and pull plenty out. Then I read the short ones while I'm there, and rent out the longer ones or the ones I want to thumb through.

I go straight to the fiction section and pick out a book based on the cover. I think you can judge a book by it's cover. I do read the synopsis on the back as well, but mostly I go by the cover.

I sit in embarassment. Because my three kids run aiund the library acting like fools and screaming. So I take them out and tell them to stop screaming so loudly. I signed my daughter up for a child program thingy.
