I don't have a baby or anything....I'm just curious how many people do. I really dislike it. If you can't accept the consequences, young teens shouldn't be "doing it". If you are molested, that is different and I don't really know what to say in that case. Your opinion....?

In my opinion this is the same as asking "do you support murder".

i agree with abortion....and its really up to what the woman or teen can handle in my opinion. i know a girl at church who was raped but still kept the baby because it was a part of her...and she felt that she could still love the child because it wasnt the baby's fault it was here. i think if i just found a way out of an abusive relationship and didnt want to go through the dramas and parenting the same things again, i would lean to this decision because i couldnt handle it. ....see what i'm saying? To put a child in that situation would be nuts. its all in what is best for the baby first and also for the female. Now sometimes there's still the option of adoption as well. so i'm not just quick to say... abortion........

No, I don't support killing innocent human beings, and every abortion kills an innocent human being. Anyone who doubts this needs to take a look at:

In regards to rape and incest: Would you kill a one-year-old because her father was a rapist? If not, why is the child in the womb fair game? Is she less worthy of life than the rest of us because of the circumstances of her conception? Should children be punished with death for the crime of their fathers? Just some things to think about!

Abortion only increases the grief and trauma of a woman who has been raped. Abortion does not erase the fact of the rape, but only causes the mother to become the aggressor, hurting another innocent victim the way she was hurt. Rape is bad; murder is worse. The knowledge of what she has done to her child will haunt her long after she has healed from the rape. Studies have shown that the majority of women who abort a child conceived in rape regret it, while none of the mothers who choose to give birth do (see links below).

In the case of incest, abortion allows the molester to cover up the evidence of his crimes and continue his abuse. It is often the molester who pushes for abortion.

Listen you cannot have it both ways. You are either for or against it.
I am for abortion. Every woman has the right to choose and abortion afterall is 100% legal.

There are many different reasons someone would have an abortion and if any of the following happened to me then i would have an abortion:
If my life were in danger and the doctor told me to have an abortion or die and leave my son motherless then i would abort.
If i were raped then i would have an abortion.
If something horribly were wrong with the fetus and would be born just to suffer then i would abort.
And for whatever other reason it could be and you know why?::
My Body
My Sexuality
My Uterus
My Vagina
My Morals
My Life
My Choice
Not Yours

To be honest I totally agrre with you in so far as that young teenagers and irresponsible people alike shouldn't be doing it and killing something just because they were totally stupid. As for the VERY UNFORTUNATE rape victims then i can totally see why they would want to have an abortion. After all the baby would act as a constant painful reminder of that day. Well t would to me anyway if i were a woman

I don't think anyone out there really "supports" abortion however I think people will agree that it's sometimes necessary for the health/mental health or wellbeing of the woman in question. I couldn't do it myself, I'd never be able to live with myself but it's not my right to make that kind of decision for other people. I am against abortion as a method of birth control though, that's just unnecessary and downright selfish!

Why kill a defenceless baby when you could give it to somebody who would love it more than anything in the world? I've been one of those women who had a very very sick baby I was carrying and in turn made me very ill. I still never even thought about killing her! Her heart was beating, who am I to make it stop? Here I am 4 years later with 2 other healthy children. (My first daughter did die naturally while I was carrying her) It's so sad that some women live their whole lives just trying to have a baby and so many other women killing theirs.

I may not agree with it, but I support a woman's right to have control over her own body and make her own decisions. I've read so many of these questions where people get so mad about women having abortions because they "don't want to be inconvenienced" for nine months, that women should "just have the baby and give it up for adoption." Those kinds of answers make me feel that there are too many women in this section answering questions who've never been pregnant, but really want to be. (And that's ok. Those of us who are here are usually here because we have kids or want to have them.)

However, asking a woman to carry a pregnancy to term when she's not ready to is not the best answer for all people. Pregnancy is rewarding, but tough. And for some, like me, it's tougher than it should be. (I had my tubes tied so I won't have to risk dying from uterine rupture by getting pregnant again.) It's unfair to make it sound like a trifling inconvenience just to make those people who support abortion feel guilty.

I don't support it and can't imagine myself ever wanting one, but I do believe it's a woman's right to choose.
I agree with you that teens shouldn't be having sex, but they're not the only ones having abortions, either. Plenty of grown, adult women have abortions, and that's their right. It's not for any of us to judge what they deem is best for them.
In the case of rape, etc, it seems to me like a no-brainer. Would you want to carry and deliver the child of the man who raped you regardless of your age? Isn't the act itself enough for the girl/woman to live with without being forced to go through a resulting pregnancy as well?

People make abortion about a "womans rights" well there is a 50% chance that the baby she is going to abort is female.. what about their rights?

But I also cant understand how if I kill the baby in my womb its ok.. its abortion.. but if that same baby is born seconds later and I kill it its murder...

To me a heart beat is one of the main keys in determining life..an unborn baby's heart will beat in the first few weeks after conception..

I do not in any way support abortion...

And to those who will bring it up... If I or my daughters were raped I would not consider abortion... why make 2 victims out of it?

IMO it's a woman's choice. If human life is so all mighty important than let those in Washington who nose around in other people's affairs, demonstrate this dedication to "love of life," by pulling our troops out of the face of danger.

As they have no intention of doing so - than let the hypocrites at least shut up in personal affairs where they have no business.

It's not for others to tell a woman how she should spend the rest of her life.

I've been married to the same lovely woman for 55 years and she is free to do as she will - and it has always been (as with me) in the best interests of the other.

It's all about honesty and leaving others alone to love and live as they choose.
