lets face it, 12 games + 3 for the finals?
thats more games that any team will play in a world cup
this was truly a great series and the Better team won!

Imo as far as the intensity goes, this was is right up there with the world cup, cause these were 3 quality teams.

I agree that the series seemed a bit drawn out. Apart from India, Australia are about the only team that still plays the tri-series. India still does it at neutral venues because of a TV agreement the BCCI has in place. England scrapped their tri series for last season and played 5 matches against an opponent after the test series was complete. Might be time for the Aussies to follow suit, tho ashes summers might be hard as we usually only play England those summers.

I fully agree with you. It was really a dress rehersal for the 3 teams ahead of world cup.
