No, of course not, they'll just keep running around yelling "Socialists!" and "Friends of the Terrorists!" at Democrats in the hopes anyone besides themselves is buying that garbage anymore. J.C. would have to enter as their nominee for them to have any chance at winning in '08. It's become clear the people of this country have had ENOUGH. Enough of character assassination, enough of war mismanagement, enough of the incompetence of Bush's Administration, and enough from the right wing harbingers of doom who keep claiming that any deviation from Bush's "plan" to stop terrorism (gee, I really wish he'd seriously address that and get out of this civil war) amounts to some kind of offering of friendship to terrorists. I haven't heard the term cut and run in a week or so - think that has anything to do with the Republicans who cut and ran themselves from a floor debate on the war? Idiots... I wish I could join you in laughter, and maybe tomorrow I'll find something amusing about this group of blind lemmings running for the cliff right behind Bush. But today I am way too disgusted to find them humorous.

What I think that a lot of politicians don't understand is that the American people don't really give a flying fig about which party did what when. The mud slinging is what is turning the voters off.
But I do think that it is funny that Gore didn't win the election in 2000 and the liberal Dems cried that Bush "stole" the election. I think Bush won because the voters were done with Clinton's trivial womanizing and lies.
But if the voters were satisfied with liberal Dem leadership, well then the 2000 elections would not have went to conservative Republicans, right?

I think it's a little early to say for sure, but I think the extremist loons on both sides of the aisle are in for a big disappointment. The next president will indeed be a centrist, maybe a little left of center, maybe a little right, but a centrist.
I think that overall the country is fed up with the hyperpartisanship that has developed over the last 14 years. Enough with the cheap oneupmanship, it's time for the spinmasters on both sides to STFU.

You guys will blow it as you always do. The majority of the American people are center or center-right. Dems have won precisely three of the last ten presidential elections, and each time with a candidate from the center.
Keeping that in mind, you guys are "blessed" with DailyKos types in the trenches. The people who are the most active in your party are faaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrr to the left of the average voter. Therein lies the rub: to get the nomination, a candidate has to be far enough left to satisfy the blogosphere, but to win the general election, he cannot be.
I wish I knew you personally, so we could bet a Coke on the deal :-)

Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
I honestly have a hard time thinking that America will vote for either Billary Clinton or Obama. Those are the two democrats on the front line of this election and those two are the worst. I want a change, but definitely not a change to a socialistic party. That will do more harm to America than some of you are not even capable of realizing.

This war is so unpopular that even extreme right-wing racist groups like the national alliance hate it and are using the anti-war card as a voting tactic
