My co-worker is constantly suspicious of me being shady! She's always accusing me of "acting funny" and says that "something's going on I'm not telling her about". If I don't go into her area enough or chat with her multiple times a day, I'm mad at her or am keeping something from her. I don't see anything different in my behavior that would make her think that. She's always accusing other people of "talking about her" as well and really for no reason. Other than this occasional freak out, she's really a nice woman but she's driving me crazy! I don't know how to make it stop!

I strongly recommend focusing on your job instead of her antics. If she gets upset because you are not talking to her or starts to make accusations simply tell her that you need to get your work done and are not able to talk. Please remember that this is your job that you could potentially be messing with. Your boss may be overlooking her antics and be noticing that you are spending alot of time talking to this woman. It sounds like she may have low self esteem but your workplace is not the time or place to help her work that out.

I would ask her if she is really aware of her behavior. Let her know that you think she is a nice person and you have no reason to dislike her or talk negitively about her. Mabe she is just a little insecure. Tell her that when she continually goes through out the office being suspicious of others, and accusing them it makes people not want to be around her. Its very unattractive. and it puts people off. I would have this talk with her privately, and be kind about it. I think she will stop once she feels more secure.

She may have emotional or mental problems,that obviously you cant fix.You could tell her that you are trying to focus on your work and cant talk now.If that doesnt stop it you might want to talk to her supervisor.

ignore her.... its hard to do but its the most effective way to stop her
