I started my periods about a year ago, and recently I haven't been having them. Is it normal to go 3-4 months with no signs of a period whatsoever? Is it just because I'm young? answers much appreciated.

Either you're 1)starving yourself, 2)you have cancer/ a tumor, or you're 3)pregnant so either see a shrink(1), I'm sorry about the diagnosis(2), or congradulations(3).

Yes of course it would. When I was your age I was anorexic and a compulsive exerciser, I was so thin and stressed that i didnt have a period for 10 months. Women athletes get that all the time, it has a name but I cant remember it. Its normal. Onces you BMI dips down below 18% you tend to start skipping periods.

You're period is probably still regulating. Don't worry about it too much. Just remember to eat heathy foods. Not eating and stress can cause it to be late as well. Exercising a lot also might cause it to be late. If you're really worried about it you should go see a doctor.

It is that way for some girls, especially in the early years. Also, if you are very athletic or weigh very little your periods may stop. It is best to address this with a Doctor who can assess your overall wellness and determine if it is a problem for you or not.

Go see a doctor. Without knowing any more about you, this is the best advice that I or anyone else can offer to you.

Good luck.

give it time. It takes about 2 years before your flow becomes regular. :)
