I am toying with the idea of holding soapmaking demonstrations, but need suggestions and advice from those with experience.

What venues have you hosted at?
Do they charge you to hold your event at their location?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated!

I do some craft teaching, just make sure you have everything you need with, you write a list beforehand, write down what you are going to say but most of all try to enjoy yourself. If you look like you are having fun so will the group!

I've given classes and demos on various things, but maybe not in some of the venues you're thinking of. (I assume you're not being a "rep" for a company that somehow deals with soapmaking... the big ones also hire people to do that).

I do have a bunch of info and tips on doing classes, workshops, and demonstations as well as shows (with craft items), etc., on these pages of my site:
