There are tons, but a fairly recent release that you probably haven't read is Sleeping With The Fishes by MaryJanice Davidson. I loved it and have recommended to others who like fantasy and romance. It has a love triangle with a mermaid, merman prince, and human. I esp like it because she's not the Ariel type mermaid and it's quite funny! There is obviously going to be a sequel, which I can't wait for.
*WARNING - this may not be appropriate for a teen, it is suggestive but nothing explicit that I remember.
Here's the description :
Book Description:
Fred is not your ordinary mermaid. She's not blonde. She's not buxom. And she's definitely not perky. In fact, Fred can be downright cranky. And it doesn't help matters that her hair is blue.

While volunteering at the New England Aquarium, Fred learns that there are weird levels of toxins in the local seawater. A gorgeous marine biologist wants her help investigating. So does her merperson ruler, the High Prince of the Black Sea. You'd think it would be easy for a mermaid to get to the bottom of things. Think again

Well. This book isn't exactly for teenagers, but I've read it a couple times, the first being when I was about fifteen. It's called _Rosehaven_, and it's by Catherine Coulter. If you're younger than about fifteen, I wouldn't recommend it though. It has its... "moments," but I love the storyline.

Then, of course, there are the Redwall books if you haven't read them, but they don't have a whole great lot of romance in them. Or the three I read didn't. I think _Redwall_ starts the series, but I've never been sure.

I believe the Artemis Fowl books fall into the "teen fantasy" category, as well, but I haven't ever read them so I can't tell you anything about them.

Other than that, I don't have much for you, I don't normally read "teenage fantasy" and romance, as a whole, makes me sick. Probably because the only romance I was exposed to as a youth were Harlequin novels.... Of course if you're just looking for a good read, there's always _Lord of the Rings_.

There is one series that I absoulutley love...it has 4 books in the series...I'm forgetting what the first book is but it's either wild mage or wild magic. There is ton of fantasy and all through out there is some lingering romance. They are by Tamora Pierce...she has a ton of other good fantasy series too!

There is also another series with alot of fantasy...it has a lot to with dragons and each of the 4 titles include dragons. I'm not sure what the order is but one of the titles is searching for dragons. These are the Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede

The best fantasy series I have ever read, other than The Lord of the Rings trilogy, were David Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean series. There's plenty of action, dazzling effects and believable characters in these books.

You might like Katherine by Anya Seton, books about Queen Elizabeth I, Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe book series, some of Victoria Holt's books, perhaps.

Try Stephen R. Lawhead. Start with "Taliesin" It's a retelling of part of the King Arthur story with part of the Atlantis story woven in - and it has a really touching love story at it's heart.

A very good one is The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. Google either her name or title to learn more on the story.
