Without sounding racist, probably because of the influx of immigrants over many many years plus the refugees, asylum seekers etc. who come to Britain. I understand that 95% ( or thereabouts) of crimes committed in Britain are by those of a different race.

It's mainly because of all the do-gooders and the PC brigade who have had the law changed so that even parents can't clip their own kids round the earhole when they do wrong, so the kids think that nowadays they can do as they like, and unfortunately, many of them do just that! There is no discipline, so when they turn into teenagers they think it's perfectly alright to go round mugging people, breaking and entering and causing physical damage to property and persons, and even IF (not when!) caught, some mamby-pamby judge gives them a slap on the wrist and tells them not to be so naughty in future.
When you live in a land with that sort of justice, it's hardly surprising that we're top of the list, is it ! ! !

Probably because it's the country with the most variation in immigrants, causing the original inhabitants to feel threatened.
They may feel that their way of life is being lost as more and more people accept the change that the immigrants bring into the country, and they fight this out of fear.

probably because we drink and do so many drugs compared to other country but i always thought ireland was more racist and violent!

.The UK is pretty awful but I don't think we are the very worst I'm afraid violence and racism is endemic everywhere
