Are you talking a second job, or are you talking about monthly income from an investment???
If you have money to invest, buy into a R.E.I.T.
Reit's are REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUSTS
they are like a mutual fund, It owns major shopping centers or large commercial buildings, The rents collected every month pays the dividends, and over time the buildings go up in value.
Check it out with your broker... But stay away from Mortgage backed securities based on housing

Invest in stocks and sell them in profit after some time. Reinvest the earned money when the same stock is down. If you are in lost collect more shares of the same company. When the price rises you can sell them. See that you are investing in a index based company and 2 to 3 companies at a time. You will start earning a lot after some months. All the best. Dinesh.
