Ok so i did the triangle inequality for this problem. Yet the results I got were X>-4, X>-6/7, and X>0. How do i write a final statement for this? The problem was in triangle ABC, A=4X+5, B=3X+2 and C=6x+3. You have to determine the possible ranges for X.

x>0 is final

I'm not sure how you got your results for possible constraints on X.

I'll use two strategies: i) each of the three expressions should be greater than 0 and ii) the sum of any two should be greater than the third.

so if you plug in x>-4, we can see that all three sides will be negative when x is close of -4, meaning there's no need to use this constraint.

if you look at the constraint that A < B+C
we get 4x+5 < 6x + 5
ie 4x <6x
this immediately excludes both your x>-4 and x>-6/7
