My house lies in a midst of pines and the windows on the outside are coated with something I almost think is pine sap. It's not thick but is impossible to remove using conventional methods. I really can't afford to replace my windows right now. Any ideas?

If it has hardened and built up try ice to freeze it and chip it off. Then try some tea tree oil, coconut oil, mechanics goop, goo gone, or peanut butter to get the rest off

About the cheapest way to clean those windows is to use Alcohol...if it is pine sap this will remove it. I'd use the cheap Isopropyl alcohol you can get from the drug store, but remember, NO SMOKING around it..once the goop comes off, use some windex or glass cleaner..you'll need a good supply of elbow grease as well. Use newspaper to clean windows, it's lint free.
