the nightlight in my kids' bedroom is shining more brightly than it did before. It's bright enough to read by now! It's a standard 7.5W bulb (240V AC) plugged into a powerboard which is plugged into the wall. I did nothing but just one night it was shining more brightly

Often, when a bulb is about to die, it shines more. Do not ask me why, I know nothing about it. I just know that it is a signal for me. It is the moment when I go to see if I have an extra bulb.
