My father's cooking.

I can get the rest of the smells from the past today. That one I cannot unless someone knows how to cook that type of food.

He was not an excellent but his food had the "flash", I cannot think of a better word, of Rromani. He was no gourmet but that is a taste I cannot have again.

The smells of certain foods bring back memories from my days as a child in the late 50's & 60's.the smell of sun-tan lotions make me think of my days on Paw-Paw lake in Michigan, where I spent my summers, all the girls I've been with, the fun we all had water sking, swimming, partying at night make-out parties that is,we did do some drinking, just a buzz you know, nothing heavy,Oh! to be back in the good old days again.Thank You for bringing back some great thoughts.

At first I thought "clean air". But, we still have it away from the cities. Then I thought "fresh rain" but we still have that too. Frankly, my favorites are still around. I don't seem to be missing anything. I guess I am lucky.
PS - I'll take a thunderstorm any day!

Oh, and I do miss my mother's German potato salad.

Update - I've got it! My grandfather's cigar!
