I am a great writer. I love writing in general, such as, writing stories, grading essay papers and writing poems.

Book writers, that's Not a career I can depend on for the rest of my life. English teacher for high schools, that's nothing but stress and headache. English teacher in college, that will make me nervous everyday.

I wanted to become a journalist but they don't get paid that much.

Do pre-school kids have English teacher? Do Elementary school kids have English teacher?

I think the youngest kids you'd be able to teach would be in junior high/middle school. Any grades under that, you would have to teach all subjects. Teachers don't get paid that well either, so it would be just as good to be a journalist, if money is what your looking at. If you don't love kids, I really don't advise becoming a teacher. Have you thought about working for a magazine? Don't they write articles all the time? Just a thought.

Here in New York, preschool and elementary schools (until 6th grade, including 6th grade) have one teacher that teaches them all subjects. That goes for public schools. I dont know about private schools since i never went to one. Well i went to a jewish yeshiva and that was the same. We had the same teacher for math, english, science, and social studies and another teacher for hebrew. this goes for New york. I dont know about the other states but i think they are the same. If I was you, i would teach college students. they listen, dont make problems, and actually try to pass. In elementary and preschool, most of the kids come to school to hang out. Not learn. in college, the students actually want to do good. there might be a couple that dont, but i think you should definetely go for it. DONT be scared. you were once a student too in college and the teachers werent scared to fail anyone. You get used to it.

Depends on the school...I had three teachers in the 6th grade...I spent most of my time in my homeroom class, but everyday I would spend an hour in both of my other classes. My homeroom teacher was the English teacher. One of the others taught math, the other science and history. It worked out really well, but I've never heard of another school doing that. You'd have to look around.
