I heard Iams was the best. I have a shih tzu too. He is 5 months old.

Good God No!!! None of that stuff. Evil evil stuff. Go out and get Royal Cannin. It's by far the best suff and has a formula specifically for your breed. Never go by that generic stuff. Think, if it's in a grocery or general store, is it really something my dog should be eating? Diet is essential for a dogs health. Please make the right choice and get only the best. Especially important for small breed dogs.

I only feed Science Diet, my vet was pretty persuasive about me using it. I buy it by the big bag at Tractor Supply and in the long run it costs about the same as the cheaper stuff.

I really like Science diet, but as long as you're feeding a high-quality food (any of the ones you mentioned) you'll be okay.
