The reason: He's faster and way more swifter than the Fayt. Watch how fast Albel goes. He can hit the enemy at the legs and makes his enemy fall to the ground way more faster than anyone, but he could kick Fayt's butt when they go one on one where you fought Crossel on disk one. You have to defeat Albel three different times there, and he is a lot faster there than the first time you have met him, and yes, he has more health and magic than before.
