The way I see it.I am an American.Right now the way it stands,I would have to agree with him{that's really sad}.We have put somewhere around 22 bases in the middle east. Why?We are positioning to take control of the oil their{if need be}.Do we have this right,I don't believe so.This is their oil no matter how you look at it.
Maybe we should drill in Alaska for are own oil{plenty their}.And I fell that what every oil comes from American soil should stay in America, this would help us GREATLY.
We are the only superpower right now,but instead of trying to help the world,we are going to take it over.
I hope most Americans can remember,we're not the only ones who have tried to do this, and we all know what happen to Hitler.
We are going to push are weight around until the whole world comes out against use, then are time will end the same way.
It was once said,If the American Military Industrial Complex every get control of the white, the world is in trouble.Well guess what the world is in trouble right now.We have voted for a change twice and won,but didn't receive the white House, the powerful made sure of it.Are votes didn't all get counted. They still have THE WHITE HOUSE,we're all in trouble. The sad thing about this is that most people here have their eyes shut.
GOD HELP US!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to dominate the world, but to try and clean it up of all the scum. The U.S. has come to the aid of many a countries. Including the Brit who says he had been over here to help. We liberated your country and are now trying to protect it from the terrorists. If you can't clean it up yourself, we will come and help. If we closed our borders and not let any American born and bred into our country, everyone would kill each other. Simple plan if you think about it. But as Americans, we help those that can't be helped. Putin is just jealous because America is the superpower and we will still help out his country, no matter what his comments are.

This may sound stupid, but isn't it human nature to want to "dominate the word"?

Someone has to play the role of global police. Without it, mayhem would break out. COmpare it to a normal town -- without police, it would be anarachy.

While America is policing, they find many economic oppurtunites here and there. If the oppurtunity is there, why not take it? Doing so solidifies American precense here and there and makes it seem like Americans are socially and economically taking over the world. THis precense also makes them a huge political force.

This role comes with being a world super-power. Of course, like the Romans, the American "empire," in my opinion, will eventually fall.

No, Putin has learned like most people worldwide that making remarks like that just stir up the Bush Hater crowd.
It isnt practical to dominate the world....its hard enough supporting our own welfare bums and illegal aliens. We dont have the money right now anyway.

I, personally, do not.

Unfortunately the &*%$^#@ *%$&^# *%(^&*#@!)*^s who stole my country do.

My guess is that most Americans do not, but the government (NOT guessing here) does.

I couldn't disagree more with those saying "someone has to" -- WRONG.

Not only is it not true that one country needs to dominate the whole world, but the US has proven itself a brutal, greedy, unjust, short-sighted, and downright disgusting "world leader."
