It may be getting ready to shed - are its turning cloudy? They usually stop eating for a while when this occurs. Also, the females stop during breeding/egglaying, and yours may have stopped if it's getting colder where you live - they sometimes stop eating for a few months. There's another question about ball pythons not eating just a few away from this one, so you're not alone!

Personally, I agree with feeding frozen/thawed. It's much safer for the snake (a dead rodent doesn't bite back, freezing kills parasites) and for you - plus a lot more convenient! No smell, no having to convert the spare bedroom into a breeding facility! So don't feel that this is a reason to have to feed live. As long as the rodent is fully thawed and warm, and you "jiggle" it a bit with the feeding tongs (and once a snake is used to pre-killed, you don't have to make it move).

As long as the fast doesn't last too long, the snake isn't obviously losing weight, and it's not a baby, you shouldn't have to worry about it.

feed him live or pre killed. in the wild ball pythons dont eat anything frozen so why would u do that in captivity keep it natrual just be responsible if u feed live and watch so the live food doesnt hurt your snake i personally hand feed my python i hold the mouse by the taail and dangle it over my snakes head. he will only take live and he turns his nose up to thawed and prekilled. and also u can try rubbing a hamster on the mouse because in the wild they would be eating hamsters not mice

I personally do not own snakes, but someone I know does. I watched him feed his snakes once. He was feeding thawed rabbits. He would take the rabbit, stick it into the snakes enclosure and move it around like it was alive. The snake struck it and took it like it was alive. That was cool!
