60.000 miles

Book says 60,000 I believe. Personally I'd do it sooner than that, maybe 40,000, it's cheaper than having a wrecked engine.
Don't forget, if you do a low mileage, there's also a time factor involved. I'd just check with a Merc delaer.

Or more often than that ^ After all, if the cambelt fails, you're looking at major engine damage. Better safe than sorry, every 30k is a good changing point.

on a merc its best to change every 40k as I've known of them to go around the 42k+ !!!

hi mate it dont have a cam belt its done by chain.

hi,the Mercedes A class models all have camshaft chains,so no need for you to worry.
