I have an old laptop that i am thinking about updating it has an intel processor thinking about updating just want to know if it is feasible?

It is nearly impossible to replace the processor in a notebook. That is because they soler it to the motherboard so that it won't be jostled around when you move it. Even if you could, all of those old devices aren't going to be a good match for a new CPU. Some of them may not even work with it.

Replacing the processor is a simple task. Open the laptop, locate the processor and remove it (often held in place by 2 clips). When upgrading always take the old processor with you to the shop. Windows will automatically identify the new processor during the BIOS boot up stage.

depends on how they installed the orignal some are easy and others are next to imposible
