Yes, I applaud at the end of any good movie in the theatre and at home. My wife sure gets embarassed. I also make sure we stay to the very last credit has rolled!!

nah... it's weird. do it after a play but not after a movie, unless the director is in the room! although, having said that, mean streets (if you don't know of it, find it and watch it immediately) should be applauded after each viewing :-)

i went to see sleeping with the enemy with Julia Roberts at the cinema and towards the end of the film the whole cinema cheered and applauded

no...but some movies especially those that u watch at the cinema deserve applauding!!

Dead Poets Society - the whole cinema cried, cheered, then clapped at the end of the movie.

No but there was a cheer at the end of Borat from alot of the people in the cinema. I've never seen that happen before. (It was in appreciation of a very funny film).

Yes but only when the director was there watching ( it was a mountain film at a festival) wouldn't do it if no one was their to receive the applause.

No, but I felt like it after watching Moulin Rouge (Baz Luhrmann's version) for the 1st time in the cinema.

No - and it really bugs me when people do! I mean its not like the cast and crew our behind the screen.
