You can rave about Michael all you want, but he couldn't play all 5 positions, nor could he play for 40 minutes a night. John Havlicek could do both, and at a very high level. Hondo is the gretest all-around player, although he may not have been the best at any one facet of the game.

You know, I've been thinking about this one. I know everyone is going to simply say Michael Jordan. Michael, however, is only considered because of his passion and love for the game. He has that certain aura and explosiveness that the NBA will never see again. I've been thinking, though. How about Oscar Robertson? He's the only player to record a season triple-double? How about Wilt? He is the only one to record a hundred points in a single game and average 50.4 ppg in a regular season. Could it be Shaq? The man is the most dominant man in the NBA for the last 40-50 years.
Picking the best player of all time is not an easy task to do. There are many facts to consider. I mean, Bill Russell won the NBA championship 14 times and was MVP of 11 of them. With all of that said, do you really think it would be anyone else???

The player you can find the least arguments against it being would of course be MJ.
There's a wealth of players you could otherwise argue though, this is one of those arguments that will NEVER be settled. You could say Wilt, Russell, Baylor, Robertson, Magic, Bird, Hondo.

MJ has to take it because you cannot really come up with any cast iron reason why he wouldnt be.

All I know is the the game was more exciting when the likes of Larry Bird and Magic were playing than what we are forced to watch today. That's if you bother to watch. I don't understand how they stay in business. The best player of all time, hard to say but I've seen Cousy, Russell, Wilt and many more who would have to be considered but my all time favorite is Bird.

Kevin Garnett...by far. Now since he has a team he is raising his career assists. He has an MVP, he was a high school draft pick, and he has helped the NBA throughout his career. He is a good offensive player but an even better defensive player leading the league in rebounds almost every year...MVP!

Gotta go with MJ.
Just look at some of his highlight reels and you'll see why.
Hes got the dribble and the dunk and the shot.
It would be great to see him play one more game

jordan had no flaws in his game: quickness, speed, strength, hops, lateral movement, desire, work ethic, fearlessness AND big hands. those mitts allowed him to do certain things others couldnt do.

but if i had to start a team from scratch, i'd pick magic.
