Can DRM Encryption software be removed from a WMA File?

I'm not trying to do anything illegal, I just want to add songs to my player I paid for and downloaded not knowing my MP3 player didn't support files with DRM Encryption.

burn the music file to a regular music CD. re-rip it to your computer and the DRM should be gone.
