It is very common to get sore nipples early in pregnancy. Sometimes as early as 1 week. Sore nipples can also be a sign of an upcoming period though. So dont use this sign alone as an indication of pregnancy. If you think you might be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test 1 week after your missed period.

Yes you can!! Sore nipples is the symptom that led me to take pregnancy tests with both my daughters. My nipples were always extremely sore in early pregnancy.

I had sore nipples right around the time I found out I was pregnant and that was at 8 weeks.

I had sore breasts and nipple tenderness almost immediatley! It carried into my 2nd trimester. I still have a problem with my husband even looking at them...lol It's like they are only for feeding now...nothing else. They are far too sensitive. My mom told me it is much more common with people of a lighter skin tone to have breast/nipple tenderness and we need to prepare our nipples far in advance to avoid all the nasty bleeding and soreness that comes with breast feeding/pumping. My advise is use a loofa or wash cloth when in the shower3-4 times and when at home go with out a bra. They say just the stimulation from rubbing against your shirt helps prepare them and toughen the skin.

Depends on the person. Every single pregnancy is different. I know that My boobs hurt before I even knew I was pregnant. It hurt to even just sleep on my side with out putting a pillow there for cushioning. They felt like two big bruises. Now that I am further a long I get the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with the throbbing sensation every time I go out into the cold. it hurts only until my body temperature adjusts. It sucks, but to my knowledge there is not preventative measures. Good luck!

Definitely! Its one of the first signs of pregnancy (also, for some it happens to be one of the signs of PMS so that doesn't mean you are pregnant FOR SURE).
When I have gotten pregnant, I usually noticed my nipples got very sore right around the time I would have gotten my period.

Yes....I believe sore breasts/nipples and increased bust size are some of the earliest signs of pregnancy.

Yes, though for some women they get sore breasts/nipples as a sign of PMS, so if it continues after when you would expect your period, it may be a sign that you're pregnant. Mine were sensitive more than a week before my period was due.
