can we please stop with the Black History Month?

okay seriously people. let's break this down for you. American History IS "WHITE" History. a bunch of blacks, mexicans, asians or any other "minority" didn't come over here killing the natives, take over the land AND then decided that THEY wanted to be free. interesting that it's okay that "americans" could fight to be free from Great Britain but blacks couldn't fight for freedom or equal rights

in history class how many black inventors did you learn about. besides nationally recgonized black figures how much do you know about the acheivements of the black culture. as it would appear you don't know anything or you wouldn't ask why we have a month to begin with. instead of whining about something that you can't change learn about the acheivements that we've made. not all blacks are lazy and complain alot.

and to white america, don't act like you don't have poor, dirty, low income white neighborhoods. don't point at the splinter in our eyes when you have a log in yours

first this is directed to those who choose to complain about black history month. i am half white but because i came out looking black that is what i am called.

secondly, so what if we weren't the first to invent something. it was still invented wan't it. eveyone has their own version of something so you can't say we didn't invent anything. if that's the case then who ever received the first patent for any invetion it the invetor and EVERYONE ELSE didn't invent anything. that's what your saying because you can't just point out the blacks and leave everyone else.

also Black History Month isn't just for our inventors. its also for our political leaders and other milestones made through out history. let me guess we don't have any of those now.

"Blacks" did invent wonderful things, the Black Kings of Egypt built the Pyramids and were the first official doctors. Whites have accomplished alot as well with the "Help?" of Blacks, so therefore thats why there will be and remain a BLACK HISTOR MONTH, SO JUST GET OVER IT, OTHER WISE WALK UP TO A BLACK PERSON AND SAY "YOU DON'T NEED A MONTH TO CELEBRATE AND YOUR PEOPLE ARE NOTHING ANYWAY" AND WELL SEE WHAT YOU NEXT QUESTION WILL BE. ALSO WITHOUT US AMERICA WOULDN'T BE **** BUT A BUNCH OF REDNECKS TRYING TO MARRY THEIR SISTERS, MOTHERS, GRANDMOTHERS, NIECES, & COUSINS.

That was a brave attempt to educate people, but unfortunately it probably fell on deaf ears. It is hard for a person who is in the majority to see how they have the privilege of being surrounded by a society that is designed to cater to them, because it's always been like that for their entire lifetime. So they have nothing in their experience to compare it to.

To the guy about Europeans building this country... Well let's see here, Georgia was originally a penal colony so part of the US was established by criminals. The folks on the Mayflower came over here because they were outcasts over in England. And they weren't the only ones who came over here because they were outcast. We were a convenient place for the English families to send their relatives that were an embarassment. We were a convenient place for Anyone, really, who had something to run from. So we were pretty much misfits and criminals while we built up this country, and we didn't do it alone.

Black people, though brought over here as slaves, worked just as hard to build this country. Without them there would have been no colonies to revolt against the British. The colonies got their money by creating and selling cloth with the cotton picked by Black people. If we had no money we would have been too poor to fight because we would have been struggling just to survive. As it is the French had to help us win our independence.

And to all the people who keep complaining that we're called Americans even though both continents are all Americas, stop and think a minute would you? Duh, yes both continents have the word America in them. Yes, all of us who live on either continent can claim that they're from North or South America. We're not trying to claim ownership of the word America. But think about it for a sec... Every time someone asks us what we are what should we say, that we're "United States of Americans???" That's a mouthful!! We are called American because that's a shortened version of our country's name. In today's fast-paced world we keep shortening everything. Pajamas becomes P.J.s. Gymnasium becomes gym. So our long drawn out country name becomes shortened into something that sounds less awkward but that still retains a part of our name. I mean I know we're known around the world for being self-centered, but not every single thing has to do with that self-centeredness.

Let’s be for real about who is celebrated every day of every week 24 hours per, we are subjected to basically white American month year after year without anyone getting their feathers ruffled. The conditioning factor to make all believe that white is right and all the other Americans can jockey for positioning to nuzzle up to the illusionary superior is a separate and rule misconception.
We are all in this country that really belongs legally to another history month recipient but that’s another issue for another time. The truth is we’re all in for the bursting of the illusionary bubble that we as Americans are superior to the rest of the people in this world. Well wake up baby and look at the numbers and then you won’t have to wonder why the world has and is continuing to pass our borrowed to the hilt asses by. Guess who will most likely have to foot the bill, my guess is middle class America. Well I wonder who these people will be, AMERICANS BABY>
So get over the bitching that shows a sign of ignorance to the real history of America and prepare for the debt call that will definitely stop all the superior posturing for awhile. I hope after that slow down our children will become better at understanding that we are alive to prepare for what is waiting upon leaving this vessel called the human form. Not the right to judge our fellow citizens on planet earth with disdain.

I am white skinned (Indian ancestory) and I adore George Washington Carver. Makes me upset that more Blacks do not know about him and his contributions. He gave the best speach on equality I have ever heard. I love Sojourner Truths story. I hated every white person in the movie Roots as a child when it first aired. I love the Color Purple Movie. Why do so many African Americans not know about these individuals.

We use to call Blacks, Colored people when I was younger and I was terrified to start calling them Black becuase I thought they would take it as an insult. Why don't Blacks who have White heritage also want to be called Africasian. Caucasian is to be white. Why do so many of them deny this side of their heritage?

What do we call a black European? We call them European! Correct! White not Euroblack? or Eurogyptian?

By the way, my child would be chosen by Hitler to live but she loves Martin Luther King and his story of faith. We are not out to stab you in the back. Trust me on this, I am tired of so many black people thinking that I am prejudice against them or that I think they will rob me.

Best example of love and not being prejudice is the Black man in Florida who kidnapped a white a woman and killed a black man. He let the white woman go free. He did not care that she was white. He had compassion for her. He had anger at the black man. Why was this so??? He had murder in his heart but was not prejudice. I am sorry that the Black man died and I feel for his family but this is still astounding to me. Why did he let her go of all people?

The European race built this nation, we colonized the land then we rebelled against Great Britian. This is while the african race was being used for cheap labour since their ancestors never built a great civilization. Your race didn't even come close to reaching our level.

American History taught in schools just preaches how bad the European race is and how great the minorities are. You know it and everyone else knows it.
