Not if he's a real friend,he also shows strong character,a jerk would have tried to play with your emotions,he was honest and told you he had someone already,my best friend and I became lovers and it was good for six years now it's over I wish we had never gone there, think about it!! We are still friends but it's not the same.

u should never ask a guy to leave someone for u, just shows u are desperate and insecure. shows u are selfish and want what u want regardless of who it hurts. maybe next time approach it differently. yes it is probably over with this guy, he most likely will not be comfortable with u even as friends now. just grow up a bit, how would u feel if this was your boyfriend and some other girl was trying to move in on u. we sometimes show our true character by our behavior and our compassion for others. good luck

um what were you thinking? im sure you realise by now that was selfish and stupid! IF you feel you must break up a relationship it must be for a good reason (like cheating) not because you can. especially not a friends relationship. but whats done is done. now assuming you only tried once and only told him how you feel, he should be angry but will get over it. if however it is worse, iwouldnt count on him being a close friend for a long time. saying that i hope you learned your lesson and hope your strong enough to accept the consequences of your actions.

Probably--especially after TELLING him to break up with his girlfriend in favor of you. What was that??? Your best bet is to apologize to him for going off the deep end and hope that he's willing to let you be "just friends". But don't do it in the hopes that, over time, he'll see you as a better prospect than the girlfriend. And his girlfriend may not want you anywhere near him because she'll see you as a genuine threat--and he may, too.

You shouldn't have told him to leave his g/f! That is so wrong.
It's hard to tell if that affected your friendship with him. Let him know you realized you shouldn't have said that and then move on.You will find someone who likes and loves you back.

yes. yes you did. as his friend, you cant tell him to break up with his gf. who are you to tell him to do something like that? so now he sees you as a friend that doesnt really understand him. and if he were to try to see you in a more than friends way, your a bitchy bossy gf. you should change the question to "how do you fix something you already ****** the **** out of?"
