the little stair kind of thing at the bottom right of the screen ( they turn green when you have a good connection) next to the picture of the globe always stays on 1 green bar so i cant download or search for anything? can somone help please. oh i have limewire basic

Are you using modem or cable? Did you first type in what you wanted to search for? My system takes a few seconds to connect even with the AT&T phone system...

The little stair thing is your "wireless" Internet connection. If it is only 1 green bar, then you need to get closer to the wireless router that you are connected to, to improve the signal strength.
