Yes that's your baby moving around. I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my first and the first time I felt the popcorn feeling was about 18 weeks. Now at this point her movements are getting very strong. Sometimes she'll kick me so hard that I'll jump. One thing I've noticed is the further along you go you'll begin to detect a pattern in the baby's movement. For me she is awake in the morning when I wake, but when I try to get to sleep around 9 she likes to move and twirl around. It gets frustrating sometimes and she even kicked so hard she woke me out of a dead sleep. I would say to enjoy every kick, punch, and hiccup that your baby has while inside because she/he is born you won't have that feeling anymore. Another thing after 20 weeks it's best that you lay on your left side instead of your back because the weight of your growing uterus can cut off circulation. It was hard for me to get used to, but now I just prop a whole bunch of pillows behind me to keep me on my side. Well Congratulations, good luck and God bless.

that would be baby having a bit of a kick around, night time when you rest you will notice the movements more. Feels a little like butterflies in your tummy and then progresses to a footballer in a few weeks when it starts to get a bit tight in there, good luck, thats the only thing about not being pregnant that I missed with both my girls moving.

Sounds like your baby!
I had my first baby in November and when I was pregnant with him I felt the first movements at 16 weeks. Didn't see them till about 20 weeks though.

That is your baby, and the most wonderful feeling in the world. For some it feels like popcorn popping others like butterflies flying in their tummies. It will get stronger now, enjoy !!!
All the best to you ...

Yup, that's Baby making his/ her first attempts at poking you!! Enjoy it! Isnt it fabulous?! Won't be long before baby is sticking an elbow/heel/butt out at you, and that, I can tell you may not be as fun!! Esp when you're trying to work/get stuff done!!
Enjoy that feeling, 40 weeks is only around the corner!!

Sounds like it - they say you can feel things starting sometimes around 18-22 weeks. I've heard it can feel like bubbles, popcorn (like you described!). I think I felt the first movement last week (I'm 19 weeks), and it felt like I was getting 'bumped' from the inside! It's easy to mistake some of the lower movement for gas bubbles...but eventually, I think it becomes obvious!

Yep! Its most likely the baby. If you're 23 weeks and it's your first, you should definately be feeling the little baby move. As weeks pass by you'll start feeling these even more. Congrats!

Congrats! Though you're experiencing this a lot earlier than I did, that movement is definately the baby doing flips. Enjoy! :)
