Hi Donna,

I bought an interface at Sam's called "DVD Express". It is a device about the size of a clock radio. You connect the output cables from your VCR into this and is connects to your computer with a USB cable.

It comes with software for editing your movies. It works great. I took a bunch of our 8MM and VHS tapes, put them on the computer, edited out the parts I didn't want and burned them to a DVD.

The quality is excellent and I am real happy with the device.

I paid $59.95 for mine a year or so ago and I saw them the other day for $49.95.

You can get them at Best Buy if you don't have a Sam's. There are several brands out there. If you can't find it ask a clerk.

Have fun,

Norm

You will need a video digitizer board or a television tuner board in your computer.. and even then if the VCR tapes are copyrighted you are not supposed to copy them.
