Since no-one has answered your question yet!! Your 2.2kw heater will use 2.2 X approx. 10-12p per hour when full on, or about 25p per hour. At half heat it will cost half of that. I dont know exactly what you pay for a Kwh.

Relative to running an ocean liner, your heater isn't too bad.

Your heater uses 2.2 Kilowatts of electricity each and every hour it is on. If you multiply that by the cost of a kilowatt in your area, you will find how much it costs per hour to run. A kilowatt is equal to 1000 watts and can be used to directly compare relative operating expense between various appliances without calculating the price in dollars. In other words, a 1kw heater will cost 1/2 as much to operate as a 2kw heater or a 2kw toaster oven.

Yes it does. Just plug it in, heat up the place on high and turn it off. Maybe that'll save some electricity, rather than just leaving on for a long period of time on low.

Buy a Halygon with three bars for about ten quid, they're very efficient and don't take a lot of electric

look on your power/electric bill and see how much one unit (Kw) of electric costs-- then multiply by 2.2 --- as its uses 2.2 Kw per hour-- and that's what it costs per hour to run.
