Hi I want to make a band of brothers music video but I cant figure out how to get clips from the DVDs themselves, onto windows movie maker. i would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me a relatively detailed way of doing this.... if possible. Thanks.

The only way that I know of is using Sony Vegas.

look for a programme called Fraps. You can download a free demo with a watermark or for a small fee you can get the full version. I paid it 5 years ago and still rip loads of dvd footage. You can see the stuff I use in my fan made movie trailers on my myspace page at www.myspace.com/choc_tpot

DVD Videos are stored as .vob files you can acess them by using the right mouse click on the dvd drive and selecting explore and view each .vob file idependently by double clicking. Get a .vob converter to convert a .vob to any of these file formats eg... .avi , .mpg , or .wmv then import them to Windows movie maker in any of these formats not .vob ...Windows movie maker cannot import .vob files

i dont know how to use windows movie maker. but is you get nero 6 or 7 you can make a music video using VOB files aswell as avi and mpeg
