You couldn't move a bone in your body, and you were in a special home, day in and day out, nurses having to hook you up to a machine so you can poo and wee, you can't talk, all you can do it look around, being pushed around in a wheelchair.

I don't understand why people are being so rude....sorry for that. Personally I don't think I could stand being like that....I am assuming that I am hooke up to machines to breath for me as well in which case I'd say let me go. My family already knows I don't want that, that's no life at all.

I once had a cast on my leg for four months, I know its not the same but it really sucked. I had to sit out of order during graduation because I could not bend my leg and fit in the rows in the auditorium.

I remember seeing a bloke on TV, sometime ago. severely paralyzed , he communicates through a special computer program that reads Iris Movement.

One of my best friends is a paraplegic. It is not something I would wish on anyone. You have no privacy. Your fair weather friends abandon you. You are dependent on people for every little thing. It is awful. It is best not even joke about this.
