I think the big test will be on the 14th, if they don't clash it is a good sign and it means the intentions are to solve it politically.
*But* in Lebanese politics your guess is as good as anybody's, things can change overnight ( or with a phone call from a friendly country)
so where you able to locate a good plastic surgeon?

I have a feeling that by the end of this month some solutions might occur so I suggest you to wait till the end of this month.
Now here in Hamra, Beirut or Beirut in general everything is going on fine and peaceful.

I would not listen to the news. It only tells you what they want to. I traveled to Turkey under travel warnings and right after sept 11. nothing happened, everyone was kind and normal. If you really want to know the conditions there, try to get in contact with people who are living there, either online, or by calling around to some different places. They are the only people who really know whats happening. Don't trust the news to tell you.

it depends, wait til the summer, i think it will be more quiet there, because now the DT is closed, my family are telling me that its tense out there.

it is safe so far but you never know what will happen and when it will happen...usually the first thing they do close is the airport
