Some animals such as dolphins probably "love" about as much as many people can do.

Elephants obviously love family members.

Humans are capable of a higher level (if that's the word) of intimacy. A true sharing of being,of pain, of grief, of joy!

There is an overlap I'm sure. Do you have a dog?

"Human Love" is an affection towards a lover, family member and/or simply a friend, and lasts a life time. I may not be an animal, but as far I know, animals have a limit. For example, if a male dog and a female dog mate, that doesn't mean there're in love or somethin', I consider it an instint, there isn't love nor affection, besides "the male dog" will reproduce over again with other female dogs. Now, if a dog mother has pups, obviously, she cares for them, but has a "limit". Once those pups grow, the mother might not reconize them anymore, and sees them as other dogs. But not just dogs, other animals as well. I'm not saying that animals don't love, they do, but have a limit. Unlike pets or domestic animals, they last longer.

Animal love or animal friendship is the feeling of affection people have towards animals. For most people, love for an animal is a part of the affection they have for their pet, an emotion of bonding or companionship which can border on affection, fondness, or love. For others it takes on deeper or even compulsive forms, surrounding themselves with often stray animals out of compassion and becoming somewhat isolated from society.

Human love is complicated and varied and has a selfish component to it.
Animals may have an attachment or imprint on another animal or on a human but they are probably not aware of their self, so, there is no selfishness.

Human love is not always unconditional animal love is. When an animal decides to love, it will love unconditionally forever. People decide to love and revoke it at any time.

"Human Love" is an affection in the direction of a lover, relatives member and/or basically a chum, and lasts a lifestyles time. i will no longer be an animal, yet as a techniques i understand, animals have a shrink. as an occasion, if a male canine and a woman canine mate, that would not advise there're in love or somethin', I evaluate it an instint, there is no longer love nor affection, besides "the male canine" will reproduce yet lower back with different woman canines. Now, if a canine mom has domestic dogs, needless to say, she cares for them, yet has a "shrink". as quickly as those domestic dogs improve, the mummy will possibly no longer reconize them anymore, and sees them as different canines. yet no longer basically canines, different animals to boot. i'm no longer saying that animals do no longer love, they do, yet have a shrink. unlike pets or relatives animals, they final longer.

Bassicaly human have "animal love", but animal don't have "human love". Animal love by passion and instinct, human love not just passion and instinct. So human love is more widely. Illustration : animal always get what they want, rape their oposite sex, kill each other to have it, love their child but almost imposible love other child. Human love their oposite sex but don't do brutal when they not have it (except some case, that why the raper being named animal), loving is not always have it. Human love with civilitation, law, and brain, not just passion and instinct like animal do.

Animals don't feel love. Animals don't have emotions. The reason why we think they do it that humans have this urge to imprint their own emotions onto animals. Humans like to think that their love towards a pet=the pet's love towards them, but it's not really. People like to think that animals smile, but it's really just how they look.
